Newsprofiteer Currency Strength Meter

Newsprofiteer Currency Strength Meter

It’s tough to keep track of what’s going on in the market without at least comparing 4 to 5 charts at the same time, and to be absolutely sure that I didn’t miss anything, I would literally look over 10+ different pairs for a better picture.

Even the fastest chartist will probably take 3 or more minutes per chart, considering different timeframes, and that’s about 30 minutes just to find out what’s really going on with the market… By the time I’m done, market has already moved; so I need to start this process again…

Or consider this, you wake up to an overnight drop in the GBP/USD pair, but what caused the drop?  Is it stronger USD? Or stronger EUR?  Or stronger JPY? Wouldn’t it be great if you can just see it without having to go through the ritual?

How about this, you are looking to SELL EUR after a strong negative comment from ECB Trichet, which pair would give you the best outcome?  EUR/USD, EUR/JPY, or EUR/GBP?  Because by choosing the wrong pair to trade, it could mean either addition 100 pips of profit or just barely breaking even…

That’s why I created this Newsprofiteer Meter, works with any MT4 (Metatrader 4) platform.  All you need to do is enable all Forex symbols in your market watch and enable the DDE Server. (Don’t worry, I’ll show you how to do it step-by-step in the video above).

You don’t need a live account with a MT4 broker, just download any MT4 broker platform with a demo account, then you are done.  I used http://www.fxdd.com.

The meter is 100% free for you to use.  All I ask is that you simply leave me a comment about your results and refer people here to download it.

Thank You,

Henry Liu

if the currency meter still free? there is no link to download it?

  • By phale, February 23, 2010 @ 4:14 am

Oh, I have installed the Meter successfully. I tried some orders in my demo. When JPY is 8 I sell and USD 1.7 I buy and all orders are green after about 15-30 minutes. Great!
But could you please write more clearly about how to use the meter. When to buy and when to sell? It is better in sideway market or strong trending market? I myself think it suit sideway market, in Asian time. Is that right?

Strength meter showing only zeroes (0).
I have “Enable DDE server” on FXCM MT4 platform and have several EAs running properly.
But the Strength Meter is not working. Why?

  • By Admin, March 24, 2010 @ 2:28 pm

I’m unsure as I have FXCM and it is working with my meter. I just double checked it. Can you restart your PC just to make sure?

Make sure there is no character after the symbol, such as a “m” or “fxf”. (EURUSD is the normal symbol, but sometimes we get EURUSDm or EURUSDFXF from different brokers…)

If you get additional characters after the symbol, make sure you select the checkbox “My broker uses different quote” and then enter in the textbox the additional character.

In the case of EURUSDFXF, you would enter FXF in the textbox.

    henry,
you have developed a woinderful indicator for forex trading. However i have a suggestion for you. Can you make it possible to have an audioalert whenever the color changes to red or blue with less than 2.0 or more than 7.5
in any of the currenies. this will prevent people staying glued to their pc. Your subscribers might even be ready to pay for this,

    david
