Currency Meter 2.0 – New Version Of My Best-Kept Forex Currency Strength Analysis Tool…

by Henry Liu on December 15, 2009

After receiving hundreds of emails from Forex traders after the first release of my Currency Meter, I’ve finally decided to work on the second version fixing some of the issues while adding improvements in the overall performance of this little Forex tool.

Here is a basic list of what’s new:

  1. Improved CPU load and tasking… This fixed issues of my Meter taking up 100% of the processing time.  Due to the original code tasking the CPU differently than the new code, now the CPU is running only at 3~5% max, which is an instant boost in your overall performance while running my currency strength meter.
  2. Added a text field so that you can enter your own symbol… Since many brokers use their own version of Forex symbols, such as EURUSDFXF (Forex.com), my meter had an issue before getting the proper data… Now you can just click on “My Broker Uses Different Quote” and a text box will appear, just enter “FXF” in the text field and your meter will work instantly… This adds flexibility in any broker you use to use.
  3. No more banner ads… I know some people were not very happy with Banner ads, so I decide to take them out for the time being and that freed up tons of space… I’m sure you’ll thank me for it.
  4. Made the Currency Symbols and their relative Strength sizable.  I think the original size may be too big for people who uses a low resolution such as 640×480, so this resizing option should take care of that…

In the future edition I’m going to add more improvements such as alerts, market cycle notification, and more… so make sure you are on my newsletter list to receive updates.

Usually if you enable all pairs it would start to work fine… Sometimes people hide some pairs and that causes the meter to crash because of insufficient data.
